How the costs of a translation are calculated
The quote of a translation is calculated based on the number of weighted words. The weighted words correspond to the actual number of words to be translated, net of all repetitions, forenames, the strings of numbers that are not to be modified and will therefore be as in the original text. The number of weighted words is always less than the actual number of words: if, for example, you have a text of a thousand words, most likely the number of weighted words will be around eight hundred words. Once the number of weighted words has been obtained, it must be multiplied by the rate per word, which varies depending on the language pair and the type of text. The final result will be the total cost of the translation!
